How do these machines ensure compliance and data privacy?

Our machines integrate IDScan technology for ID authentication, supported by VeriScan software. This ensures compliance with regulations and allows data collection customization to meet state-specific laws while maintaining high standards of data privacy.

How will the machine identify age compliance?

Verde has partnered with IDscan to integrate top-notch ID authentication hardware and software, which is capable of detecting nearly 98% of fake IDs. The machine uses a high-resolution webcam and proprietary anti-spoofing software to further enhance security and accuracy. This combination helps verify that the person purchasing matches the image on the presented ID. Anti-spoofing technology is essential to prevent fraudsters from using photos or other methods to deceive the system.

“The checkout process has a built-in age verification process that begins with the simple insertion of your ID. Once the ID is inserted, the scanner will run a series of light checks on the ID known as ID authentication.

Verifying IDs at unattended cannabis retail machines relies on the integration of AI software, biometric analysis, and image processing applications. Customers at the point of purchase are first required to scan their ID. Most commonly with our weed vending machines, this requires insertion of their drivers license into an E-Seek M500 forensic document reader. The E-Seek M500 rapidly takes images of the ID under multiple light wavelengths and our software uses AI to analyze the ID and determine if it's legitimate.

While this is happening, the machine will then walk the user through face matching and liveness checks to ensure the person inserting the ID is the same person on the ID. The entire process runs simultaneously and is done in 30 seconds or less.

The verification process initiates at the end of the transaction to ensure a verified user can’t walk away and have a transaction completed by a minor.” - Source IDscan.net
